Our Story
From our workshop in Victoria, our team brings more than forty years of combined experience to every project. What started as a focus on custom wood doors has expanded into a complete exterior vision—crafting façades, entrances, and details that unify homes from the street view to the finishing touch.

You can visit our hardware section of the website to see what options we stock, however we can install just about any custom hardware you can provide to our shop or we can drill the doors to receive hardware on site.

We do not build doors from aluminum.

All our doors are custom made and no wood components come off the rack. We build every door from scratch to your exacting specifications.

Almost all our swing entry doors are NAFS certified. Currently our pivot doors are not NAFS certified.

We do not provide painted doors, however we can provide doors pre-primed and ready for your on-site painter to finish.

Forest resources need to grow and thrive for future generations, and it is more important than ever to know where your wood materials are sourced as well as how they are removed from the ecosystems they impact. Through a partnership with the indigenous owned Van Isle Timber Co., Karmanah Wood Design is doing its part to ethically source regional island timber that is naturally wind fallen, salvaged, or from reclaimed sources.

We are a door manufacturing company only. We do not install doors. Most people choose to hire a carpenter to install their door.

We do not refinish doors. We are a door manufacturing company only. Our finishing services are provided by a third party. For maintenance or refinishing please contact a local finisher.

Yes! We can build a robust shipping crate and coordinate shipping logistics. Shipping must be estimated by a third-party carrier and paid by the receiver. Please contact us for more information.

It all begins with an idea. Once your order is in place you will receive a detailed shop drawing for your project. At this stage we can adjust the design, measurements, finish, and hardware to make sure you’re confident you’ll receive the perfect door for your home.

Yes, our doors seal completely. Our pivot doors include weather-stripping, including pre-installed top and bottom sweeps as well as closed cell foam weather-stripping in the sides of the jamb. Our swing doors have continuous weather-stripping.
